Our Philosophy

Few litters. High expectations.

Maison Belcanto does not produce puppies — it carries forward two carefully chosen bloodlines, one Standard Poodle, one Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Two to three litters a year, never more, so that every puppy receives an attention that volume would make impossible.

Our breeding dogs are selected for pedigree, show titles and, above all, genetic screening results. A dog only enters our breeding program after clearing every one of these tests.

What Never Changes

Three commitments, for every puppy.

They apply to every litter, without exception.

Full health testing

Hips and elbows OFA-evaluated, heart auscultated by a cardiologist, eyes certified, full genetic DNA panel. Results are handed over in full — never summarized.

Refined socialization

Daily handling, unhurried exposure to sounds, surfaces and visitors, within the calm of our home. A stable temperament is built, never improvised.

Lifelong support

We remain present long after the puppy leaves — feeding, grooming, training. And if you can no longer keep your dog, one day, they come home to us. Always.

Our Breeds

Standard Poodle and Cavalier King Charles.

Two breeds chosen for their intelligence, natural elegance and family-oriented temperament. We neither breed nor cross any other breed — specialization is, to us, a form of respect for the dog.

Every bloodline is documented across generations: conformation titles, health results, observed temperament. Nothing is left to chance.

How It Works

From first meeting to your puppy coming home.

Preliminary interview

A phone or in-person conversation to understand your lifestyle, expectations and experience. We do not accept every family — and we will tell you honestly if one of our breeds is not the right fit.

Visit by appointment

Meet the parents and their environment, before a litter is even conceived. Our facilities are open to inspection — without exception.

Reservation and matching

A $1,000 deposit secures your place. Puppy-to-family matching happens around the sixth week, based on observed temperament and your specific criteria.

Going home at eight weeks

Your puppy leaves vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, examined by our veterinarian, with complete registration papers and a detailed health file.

A litter is expected this fall

Our puppies find homes before they are born.

If you are considering welcoming a bloodline puppy this year, now is the time to start the conversation — even if you have not yet settled on a breed.
